The Andrea Award Scholarship

The Andrea Award is a Two Rivers Scholarship awarded to deserving area students attending full-time post secondary education in the upcoming year.
The award is named in honour of Andrea Bahm-Barker who was an integral part of the Two Rivers family both on and off stage. We recognize, remember and celebrate her by having this anonymously donated award in her name.
Criteria for Selection of the Scholarship:
The recipient(s) will:
- Demonstrate talent, commitment and love for the arts (music, dance, drama and/or visual arts)
- Participate extensively in arts activities, including one or more of the following:
-Performance (acting, singing, dancing)
-Production (creative design, set/props, sound and lighting, hair/costumes/make-up, artistic recording or filming, stage management or other behind-the-scenes work)
-Direction (in the areas of acting technique, music coaching or choreography) - Accept and encourage the participation of others in the arts (making the arts
experience inclusive to his/her peers and community members of all ages) - Preference will be given to those students pursuing post secondary studies in theatre, music, dance, design and fine arts and who have had involvement in local community theatre/arts.
- Demonstrate qualities of leadership in school, church or the community in areas such as social justice, community activism and/or volunteering.

So, in the spirit of creativity and continuity, this year’s Andrea Awards were offered to four commendable recipients.
